Basic Questions

1. About load-bearing: Is there a potential safety hazard? How to avoid it?

All telescopic stands are products that have undergone load-bearing tests. Choose those with quality inspection reports. Typically, they can support up to 500 KG per square meter. For example, a 100-seat telescopic stand can support over 300 people.

2. About the floor: How should the ground load-bearing capacity be coordinated with the telescopic stands?

It is recommended that the flooring be made of hard materials, such as floor paint, floor tiles, terrazzo, or wooden flooring (the joists should be reinforced). Soft materials such as vinyl flooring or carpets are not recommended, as they can easily leave impressions or cause carpets to wrinkle. If soft materials have already been installed, reinforced PVC panels can be added according to the specific plan.

The floor should generally support a load of no less than 400 kg per square meter, and the flatness of the floor should be within <8 mm per 10 square meters.

3. About the power supply: What are the requirements for the power supply?

Typically, a 380V power supply, 25A power socket, or air switch is used. A 4-wire, 4-core cable is sufficient, and even without three-phase power, a 220V power supply can be employed.

4. About floor height: What is the standard for how high a floor can be to accommodate seating?

The height of each step in the stands starts from 300 mm, with the first step starting from 325 mm. Each step can accommodate 1-2 rows of seats. It is necessary to ensure that the distance between the last row of seats and the roof is at least around 2 meters. For example, with a floor height of 4 meters, 7 steps can be installed, with a total step height of 6*0.3 + 0.325 = 2.125 meters, leaving 4 – 2.125 = 1.875 meters above the last row, which is generally sufficient for people to stand upright.

5. What are the advantages of expansion seats compared to traditional cement steps?

Traditional tiers require construction with cement or steel structures, which are costly, occupy considerable space, and are suitable for only one use scenario. Telescopic stands, on the other hand, allow flexible seating arrangements based on the dimensions of the venue. When retracted, the seating can free up the area for other uses, such as events, dining, rehearsals, modular units, exhibitions, trade shows, or sports activities. In terms of cost, constructing fixed tiers is comparable to installing telescopic seating.

6. Can this be made into an arc shape?

It can be made into an arc shape. IEQ exclusive technology. It can also be divided into several trapezoidal retractable stands, assembled into a curved retractable stand.

7. Is it possible to design a doorway at the gate location in the stands? How can safety be ensured?

There are many cases where door openings are left at the entrance, making it convenient for the audience to enter and exit without having to go around the sides of the stands. The door openings are specially designed and reinforced with safety railings, so there is no need to worry about safety at all.

8. What is the appropriate width for a step?

The standard step width is 900mm, which is sufficient for people to sit normally and cross their legs. If you want the stands to be convenient to use and allow people to pass by while seated, the row spacing should be at least 1100mm.

9. Can the seat be equipped with a writing board?

The retractable stands can be equipped with front-mounted and rear-mounted seats with writing boards. Additionally, IEQ offers some high-end notepads:

  • Similar to the front-mounted Maybach writing pad
  • Take the rotating writing board in the Backflip Luxury Seat
  • For example, a front desk with a rear fixed writing board

10. What’s the difference between semi-automatic and fully automatic seats?

Both are rear seats, meaning they are positioned in the rear section of the steps. The semi-automatic seat requires manual repositioning, while the fully automatic seat can be automatically repositioned through electrical control. The fully automatic model is approximately 30% more expensive.

11. Does this type of seat have a fixed quantity? How does the quantity affect the cost?

The minimum order quantity for seats is 40 seats. All products are custom-made without standardized dimensions, and the number of seats significantly impacts costs. For example, both 40-seat and 400-seat configurations require a complete electronic control system, which has a fixed cost. Additionally, the travel expenses for installation personnel to visit the factory are also relatively fixed. The fewer the seats, the higher the cost-sharing ratio.

12. What is the material of the step surface?

There are two kinds of materials for the step ground: one is the multi-layer board with the floor glue (color optional) and the carpet (color optional), the other is the high-density board with the melamine surface (pattern and color optional).

13. What material is the guardrail made of?

There are two kinds of regular guardrail: steel guardrail and stainless steel guardrail. Both can be made into no need to plug and pull and synchronized with the stand, and can also be made into manual plug and pull in special cases. Electric flip guardrails can also be made.

14. How is the unfolded side typically concealed?

The side of the stand can be covered with velvet curtain (color optional) or wooden partition (color optional), which can effectively ensure the safety of the people during the operation of the stand.

15. How to resolve after-sales issues? What is the warranty period?

IEQ has offices in every province, and responds to product issues within 2 hours, arrives on site within 24 hours in special cases, and resolves problems within 48 hours.

The product provides 1-year warranty for electrical components and 3-year warranty for other parts. The specific terms can be negotiated based on Party A’s requirements.

16. How to resolve a malfunction?

After installation, our technicians will provide hands-on training and troubleshooting solutions for common issues. The manual also includes a troubleshooting guide. If you encounter any problems, contact us immediately for video support or on-site assistance.

17. What are the charges for issues after the warranty period?

For issues occurring after the warranty period, the cost will be calculated separately based on the specific problem, with only the labor and material costs charged for repairs.

18. What qualifications do you have?

19. What is the payment method?

The standard payment terms are a 30% deposit upon contract signing, with the balance payable before shipment. Payment terms for bidding projects are negotiable.

20. If a tender is required, can you participate?

21. What is the delivery time? / Can the stands be moved as a whole?

The stands can be moved freely in all directions, and a single stand with fewer than 200 seats can be adjusted horizontally and vertically using a movable device. It can also be controlled by electric power, similar to a remote-controlled car, which can move freely in all directions. The group size is generally less than 110 people, and the cost is relatively high.

22. Can your products be exported? How can we resolve the installation issue?
